Dibrain ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Dibrain mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — email address and password (hashed) when you create an account.
• Content you save — URLs, notes, titles, and metadata (page title, description, thumbnail) of links you archive.
• Photos you upload — images you choose to save from your device gallery. These are stored in our secure cloud storage.
• App preferences — theme, language, and other in-app settings stored locally on your device.

We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing history, or any data unrelated to the core functionality of the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App and your personal content archive.
• To authenticate your account and keep your data secure.
• To sync your saved content across your devices.
• To fetch metadata (title, description, thumbnail) for URLs you save — this request is made server-side and no personal information is sent to the target website.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure, hosted on AWS servers in the United States. Supabase uses industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) and enforces row-level security — meaning your data is only accessible by your account.

Uploaded photos are stored in a private cloud storage bucket and served only to authenticated users who own that content.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party.

We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — Supabase (database & storage). They are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential and use it only to provide services to us.
• Legal requirements — if required by law or valid legal process.

5. Demo Mode

Dibrain offers a "Demo Mode" that does not require account creation. In Demo Mode, all data is stored locally on your device only using AsyncStorage and is never sent to our servers. Demo data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App.

6. Your Rights & Choices

• Access — You can view all your saved content in the App at any time.
• Deletion — You can delete individual saves or your entire account from within the App (Profile → Delete Account). Account deletion permanently removes all your data from our servers within 30 days.
• Export — We plan to offer data export in a future update.
• Opt-out — You may use Demo Mode at any time without providing any personal information.

7. Children's Privacy

Dibrain is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
